Dem legendären „Bergkönig“ Hans Stuck und seinem Sohn Hans-Joachim ist das Sonderthema der siebenten Veranstaltung Ende September gewidmet.
Das Warten der Oldtimerfans hat ein absehbares Ende: Vom 27. bis 29. September 2024 wird in Berchtesgaden und auf der Roßfeld-Panoramastraße zum siebenten Mal der „Edelweiß-Bergpreis – Roßfeld Berchtesgaden“ durchgeführt, der sowohl ein Erlebnis für Familien verspricht als auch ein „Muss“ für alle Liebhaber historischer Automobile und Motorräder sein wird.
Im Mittelpunkt wird das Sonderthema „Die Rennwagen der Familie Stuck“ stehen. Dazu erwartet Veranstalter Joachim Althammer mit seinem Team ca. 15 Rennwagen, die der legendäre „Bergkönig“ Hans Stuck bzw. sein Sohn Hans-Joachim „Strietzel“ Stuck im Laufe der Jahrzehnte über Berg- und Rundstrecken pilotierten.

„Strietzel“ im Auto Union Typ C
Das Highlight wird dabei der originalgetreue Nachbau des Auto Union Typ C aus 1936 sein, mit dem der Senior 1936/37 Grand-Prix-Rennen bestritt und dabei in neun Läufen vier Podestplätze erreichte. 1938 gewann Stuck mit diesem Wagen den Großen Bergpreis auf dem Großglockner. Auf dem Roßfeld wird Sohn Strietzel ins Lenkrad greifen.
Der Edelweiß-Bergpreis beginnt mit der Fahrzeugpräsentation in der Fußgängerzone von Berchtesgaden (27. September, 12 bis 18 Uhr), bei der das Publikum Gelegenheit bekommt, mit den Fahrern direkt in Kontakt zu treten und das eine oder andere Gespräch mit ehemaligen Rennfahrern zu führen. Zugesagt haben (Stand Mai) Rennfahrerlegenden wie Hans-Joachim Stuck, Jochen Mass, Stig Blomqvist, Prinz Leopold von Bayern und Rudi Lins.
